Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage Plans are health plan options that are part of the Medicare program. If you join one of these you generally get your health care and prescription drug coverage all in one. Generally, these plans all have co-pays and you may have to see doctors that belong to the plan or go to certain hospitals to get services.
Medicare Supplements
Medicare Supplements are Federal Government created 10 standard plans. These plans are labeled A through J. All insurance agents have the same plans and premiums to offer. The prices different between carriers. Medicare Supplements have advantages:
- You can go to any hospital, doctor, anyplace, anytime without asking permission.
- All claims are files automatically.
- If you travel or live somewhere else for a period of time every year as many do, you can go to any hospital, doctor or other medical needs attended to with no questions asked.
